La cit\u00e9 de Pergame controlait le trafic maritime avec l&rsquo;Orient et inqui\u00e9tait l&rsquo;Egypte par sa puissance. Au II \u00e8me S av JC l&rsquo;Egypte d\u00e9cr\u00e9ta l&#8217;embargo du payrus vers Pergame. Au d\u00e9but de notre voyage, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait les cerises, puis les abricots et les prunes, les bananes, les p\u00eaches et maintenant le raisin et les figues. Chaque r\u00e9gion a sa sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 mais par contre on trouve partout les l\u00e9gumes de saison : tomate, poivrons, aubergines, concombres, vendus au bord de la route par les mara\u00eechers et le tout \u00e0 des prix d\u00e9risoires et avec le soleil ils sont succulents. Les march\u00e9s sont un r\u00e9gal.
