Vers 10h, acalmie et nous partons pour Rome. Le camping \u201cRoma camping\u201d est bien situ\u00e9 sur la via Aur\u00e9lia et c\u2019est tr\u00e8s facilement que l\u2019on se rend \u00e0 Rome\u00a0 par les transports en commun ou, comme nous, en scooter.Nous pensions qu\u2019aujourd\u2019hui lundi, il y aurait moins de monde et bien c\u2019\u00e9tait encore pire mais il est vrai que c\u2019est aussi les vacances et nous rencontrons beaucoup de fran\u00e7ais avec des enfants. Nous voulons visiter la Basilique Saint Pierre et la queue fait le tour de la place ! Nous avons donc achet\u00e9 nos billets par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire d\u2019une agence (Roma Christina) comme \u00e7a, on ne fait pas la queue (c\u2019est d\u00e9j\u00e0 comme \u00e7a que nous avons fait pour les mus\u00e9es du Vatican et la Chapelle Sixtine).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/martine.tatangelo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/p1200112.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px initial initial;\" title=\"P1200112\" src=\"http:\/\/martine.tatangelo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/p1200112-thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"P1200112\" width=\"244\" height=\"186\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/martine.tatangelo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/p1200061.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px initial initial;\" title=\"P1200061\" src=\"http:\/\/martine.tatangelo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/p1200061-thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"P1200061\" width=\"244\" height=\"186\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/martine.tatangelo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/p1200061.jpg\"><\/a>La basilique Saint Pierre est la plus grande \u00e9glise au monde et ses dimensions sont gigantesques : 187m de longueur et 132m de hauteur. La place Saint Pierre fait 300m de largeur et est entour\u00e9e d\u2019une for\u00eat de colonnes et surmont\u00e9e de 140 statues de saints.A l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, c\u2019est grandiose. Tout de suite, sur la droite, on d\u00e9couvre la magnifique statue de Michel-Ange \u201cla Pieta\u201d puis tout au long des nefs les statues de diff\u00e9rents papes. Au centre, l\u2019autel situ\u00e9 sous un baldaquin en bronze qui fait 30m de haut et dessous l\u2019autel, la tombe de Saint-Pierre. Sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 une magnifique statue en bronze de Saint-Pierre. Les coupoles sont dessin\u00e9s par Michel-Ange et Rapha\u00ebl (qui d\u2019ailleurs est enterr\u00e9 \u00e0 Saint-Pierre). Dommage, les photos ne sont pas extraordinaires mais le temps est tr\u00e8s nuageux mais il n\u2019a pas plu. En Italie du Sud, la vie s\u2019arr\u00eate entre 13h et 17h mais ici en cette saison tout s\u2019arr\u00eate \u00e0 17h30\/18h.
